Application Information

The Miami Club Community Participation form must be filled out entirely before any request can be reviewed (requests will not be accepted in any other format). All requests for sponsorship/contributions must be received a minimum of 3 months prior to event date (of course I can look at exceptions but this is best practice). Each request for sponsorship/contributions will be reviewed by our sponsorship committee.

Types of Contributions:

Miami Club will contribute to approved events or causes in the following manner (where legal):

  1. In-Kind Contribution.
  2. Auction or Raffle Items (Product, P.O.S. Material, etc.).
  3. Placement of Advertising or Corporate Logo in Program.
  4. Employee Direct Community Involvement
  5. Miami Club Visitor Center hosting event

In order to be reviewed by the sponsorship committee, all requests for sponsorship or contributions must fall under the following categories:

Eligible Organizations

  1. Health & Social Services.
  2. Arts, Music and Culture.
  3. Environmental/Conservation.
  4. Community Heritage and Unity
  5. Requests must come from charitable organizations which are non-profit and tax exempt as per section 501 C (3) of the IRS Tax Code or they must benefit a 501 C (3) organization.
  6. All organizations will be required to provide statements and documentation regarding disbursement of funds to their charitable causes.
  7. All requests must be in writing and submitted through info@miamiclubrum.com and received at least 3 months in advance of the event date as our processing time may be 2-4 weeks after receiving the completed sponsorship request application. Miami Club Rum will not accept requests via mail, other e-mail, or telephone. Any requests received outside the process will not be reviewed.
  8. Limit of one approved donation or event sponsorship per organization per calendar year.

*Ineligible Events:

  1. Requests for support of individuals or sponsorships of personal exhibits or performances.
  2. Requests for sponsorship of private clubs or political advocacy groups.
  3. Political contributions.
  4. Religious Contributions.

*NOTE: The Visitor Center may be booked for private parties, for-profit entities of all types, etc. for a fee. Booking dates are on first in / First out basis. Please book at info@miamiclubrum.com

Application Process:

If your organization chooses to submit a request for sponsorship or contribution, your organization must complete our Miami Club Rum Community Participation Application.

  1. The application form must be filled out entirely before any request can be reviewed (requests will not be accepted in any other form.)
  2. All requests for sponsorship/contributions must be received 3 months prior to event date.
  3. Each request for sponsorship/contributions will be reviewed by our sponsorship committee.
  4. Requests for sponsorship/contributions will be approved or denied in writing or by e-mail at least two months prior to event date.
  5. All communications regarding sponsorship/contribution requests will be conducted via e-mail.

The sponsorship eligibility criteria are not all inclusive, and consideration for sponsorship requests will be at the discretion of the sponsorship committee at Miami Club Rum which will make the final determination, in its sole discretion. Although most eligible sponsorship requests are worthy, Miami Club Rum can support only a small portion of the total number received and, as a result, must often turn down applicants even if they fit our guidelines.
